New concept athleisure company, Sun & Cobalt, launches in August with Stephanie Nguyen of Sunkissed Steph. Differing themselves from other activewear, this San Francisco start-up features a different blogger and capsule collection each month.
For Sun & Cobalt’s first collection with Nguyen, nine styles are offered including a $40 sports bra slit on one side for subtle exposure, $30 asymmetrical heather grey ribbed sweater, $95 neoprene moto jacket and $50 high-waisted joggers. Nguyen wanted the pieces to “seamlessly transition from a workout to a night out.” The clean minimalist lines are complemented by soft, neutral hues of blush pink, grey, black, and marble white.
CEO and Founder Jasmine Yang is committed to being “versatile and [to] target to different audiences.” Every month the featured blogger chooses a charity to donate 10 percent from profits.
Next collection will feature dynamic silhouettes boldly elevated by geometric textiles with Mickey Roxas from Plants & Planks. Sun & Cobalt will also be kicking off their plus-size offerings next Spring with body positive yoga instructor Valerie from Big Gal Yoga.
